• ALA's Booklist Online
  Recommendations from the American Library Association.

  Booknotes from C-SPAN offers interviews with nonfiction authors.
• BookPage
  "A national review publication helping nearly one million people each month select their books and learn more about the people writing them. Much of the content here is unique to this site or is an enhancement of the material available in the printed edition of BookPage."
• Bookreporter.com
  The premier book site on America Online and the largest book conversation in cyberspace.
• CliffsNotes
  In September of 2004, offered 180 literature guides that could be read for free (there's a fee to download them).
• Library Journal
  On this sites you can get book news, lists and reviews of PrePub Best Sellers, Subject Best Sellers, and Hot Picks.
• National Public Radio (NPR): Books
  Check here for book reviews, author interviews, summer reading lists, and you can listen to some of them online. You can also sign up for their BookNotes Newsletter.
• New York Review of Books
  Begun during the newspaper strike of 1963, the New York Review of Books has columns on current topics and books with a liberal slant.
• Publishers Weekly
  Read current reviews in various categories. To access archived reviews you need to be a subscriber.
• Three Percent
  3% refers to the number of books published in the United States that are works in translation. Three Percent brings readers information about goings-on in the world of international literature and provides reviews and samples of books in translation.
• USA Today Books
  exclusive stories and best seller lists.
• Washington Post Books

  This is a great site to see what the Brits are reading. Both the reviews and the letters are enlightening.
• London Review of Books
  Selected articles from the current week's print edition as well as a subject guide to archived reviews.
