Mining for Gold : A Creative Writing Workshop
Sunday, November 12, 2006
Other Dates
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Come explore through creative exercises and discussion ways to express yourself through the written word. We all have untold stories waiting to be told and heard, and this course will allow you to mine for that gold. We will cover aspects of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and memoir writing in a supportive lively environment. Beginners and seasoned writers are welcome and will benefit each other as we critique and learn the process of good writing. Each week we will bring into play themes from our lives that crisscross literature and discuss ways to bring these themes to life on the page. Segments from novels, memoirs, poems and personal essays will be shared as springboards for our own writing.
