Blogging for Nonprofits 201

In this follow-up course to Blogging for Nonprofits 101, we will take a look at advanced blogging techniques and how to make them work for your nonprofit. Attendees will learn about:

• Categorizing and tagging your blog posts
• Adding plugins to extend the functionality of your blog
• Creating forms and surveys for your site
• Adding analytics to determine how visitors are finding your site and which content performs best
• Optimizing your site for maximum search engine rankings

As a bonus, attendees will be provided access to more than 50 videos showing how to manage nearly every aspect of their new blog.

This program is the second in a series presented by Craig Grella, founder and executive director of OrgSpring, a Pittsburgh based nonprofit with a mission to help other nonprofits accomplish their missions online. Through his work at OrgSpring over the past two years alone, Craig has helped nonprofits large and small to create compelling websites and online advocacy campaigns that have resulted in nearly $3 million raised both online and off.

The fee to attend this class is $20 per person. However, if you wish to attend all three classes in the series, the total fee is $50 which must be paid at the first class on April 4th. Registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412-622-6277.
