Let's READ English: Persepolis

Friday, May 10, 2013 | Other Dates
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

If English is not your native language and you like to read, join us on the second Friday of every month at 2PM in the Large Print Room. We will read one book each month and then meet to discuss the story, improve our vocabulary and practice our English reading and conversational skills. And have FUN!

May’s book will be Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi — This book tells the story of a young Iranian girl who lives through the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The story is a graphic non-fiction book, which means that it is filled with illustrations, which enhance the storytelling. The girl and her parents much find a new way to live in a culture that has been turned upside down.

Please request the book in the Catalog or contact us to get the book from your Library. Registration is required.
