About the Monthly Science Homework Calendars

Get Adobe Acrobat Reader   You will need to install the latest version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader so that you can view these pages.

The online version of the calendars present the science questions and investigations created by Pittsburgh Public Schools, PRIME+PLUS science staff and district teachers with input from students, parents, administrators, and school and public librarians. These activities were created to provide meaningful and consistent learning experiences outside the science classroom environment. Activities were designed to maximize children's opportunities for success and to allow them a voice in determining the activities / assignments they do at home.

The science homework calendars are distributed monthly to every student in grades Kindergarten through five throughout the district. Each month, the child's teacher will establish the number of required assignments and when they are due.

Make certain that you check out the librarian - suggested links to sites that will help you complete your monthly science calendar requirements.

District calendar comments and suggestions should be addressed to: James A. Simeone, PRIME+PLUS Science.
