Babette's Feast (1987) - With the mysterious arrival of Babette, a refugee from France's civil war, life for two pious sisters and their tiny hamlet begins to change. Before long, Babette has convinced them to try something other than boiled codfish and ale bread--a gourmet French meal! Her feast scandalizes the elders, except for the visiting General. Just who is this strangely talented Babette, who has terrified this pious town with the prospect of losing their souls for enjoying too much earthly pleasure? DVD or VHS.

Brothers (2004) - An emotionally charged story of two brothers who struggle to find their place within their family after one of them is sent to the war in Afghanistan. The responsible brother at war is missing in action and presumed dead. His less responsible brother gravitates toward his brother's presumed widow and cares for her. When the older brother returns from prison camp with post traumatic stress problems his role and his brother's shift. DVD.

The Celebration (1998) - At the sixtieth birthday party of a Danish patriarch, his oldest son Christian reveals a dark family secret that contributed to his twin sister's suicide. VHS.

Day of Wrath (1943) - In a seventeenth-century village, an old woman is burned as a witch and curses the pastor who judged her. The pastor dies and his young wife, who is in love with his son, is accused of causing his death also with witchcraft. VHS.

The Five Obstructions (2004) - Lars von Trier enters the world of documentary filmmaking and challenges his idol Jørgen Leth to remake his 1967 film The Perfect Human five times, each time with a new obstruction, hoping each time that he will fail! DVD.

Gertrud (1964) - Around 1910, a woman who is unhappily married to a lawyer meets a famous poet whom she had loved, has an affair with a young composer and finally decides to live alone in Paris. VHS.

Italian for Beginners (2000) - Several Danish students of an Italian language class find romance in their studies of the language of love. DVD.

The Kingdom (1994) - At The Kingdom, Denmark's most technologically advanced hospital, a number of strange and otherworldly events begin to occur, much to the dismay of its doctors and patients. At the urging of a spiritualist patient, the employees attempt to help the supernatural forces rest. DVD.

Medea (1987) - Medea seeks vengeance against Jason after he betrays her in a search for the golden fleece. DVD.

Mifune (1999) - Kresten is enjoying life as a successful businessman and a newlywed (he's just married the boss' daughter). But when he receives a phone call informing him of his father's untimely passing, his comfortable new life is thrown into turmoil. He's kept his poor, small-town past a secret from his new wife and her family and must sneak away to settle family business before his cover is blown. VHS.

Pelle the Conqueror (1988) - A Swedish man and his son, Pelle, travel to Denmark in the hope of finding work and a better life. Pelle is inspired by the people he comes to know and realizes that to make his dreams come true, he must set out on a path of his own. DVD.

Reconstruction (2003) - This story follows Alex, a photographer, and beautiful Aimee, who meet by chance and fall in love in the course of one intense day. DVD.
