Pittsburgh-born Pulitzer Prize winning playwright August Wilson passed away on the morning of October 2, 2005.

Funeral services for August Wilson were held Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Soldiers & Sailors National Museum & Memorial, Fifth Avenue, Oakland.
