• The Caffeinated Quill
  The Caffeinated Quill is a writers group for people in the Greensburg and surrounding areas of Pennsylvania that meets once a month to discuss writing and to review each others works-in-progress.
• City of Asylum/Pittsburgh
  City of Asylum/Pittsburgh provides sanctuary to writers exiled under threat of death, imprisonment, or persecution in their native countries.
• Greensburg Writers Group
  Usually meets twice a month at Pitt Greensburg.
• Ligonier Valley Writers
  Ligonier Valley Writers is a non-profit writers group in Southwestern Pennsylvania that sponsors workshops, writing contests, programs, and publishes the Loyalhanna Review.
• PARSEC - Pittsburgh Area Realtime Scientifiction Enthusiasts Club
  a club for the promotion of literary science fiction, fantasy and horror in southwestern Pennsylvania. They hold an annual science fiction conference called Confluence.
• Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures
  Producer of Literary Evenings (formerly the Drue Heinz Lecture Series and before that, the Three Rivers Lecture Series).

• Sisters in Crime Pittsburgh
  The Mary Roberts Rinehart Chapter of Sisters in Crime based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sisters in Crime is an international organization of writers, readers, booksellers, librarians, agents, editors, reviewers, and teachers interested in promoting the work of women mystery writers.

• United Black Book Clubs of Pittsburgh (UBBCP)
  UBBCP is an association of librarians, readers and book clubs in Pittsburgh. Through a united effort, UBBCP was formed to promote literary activities and events to provide community outreach programs and to spread the love of reading throughout the community.
• Western Pennsylvania Writing Project
  a community of educators, kindergarten through college, working to improve the teaching and learning of writing in an eight-county region in southwestern Pennsylvania.

• Pennsylvania Center for the Book
  The mission of the Pennsylvania Center for the Book is to study, honor, celebrate, and promote books, reading, libraries, and literacy to the citizens and residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Their website features sections on Book News, Pennsylvania Book World, Reference, and an online Literary Map of Pennsylvania, and a Family Literacy Activity Guide (Playing with Words).
• Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association (POWA)
  The Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association (POWA) is an organization of professional writers, artists, photographers, broadcasters, telecasters, lecturers and other communicators with a common interest in the outdoors.
