• Carnegie International

  "The Carnegie International is the most important and prestigious international survey of contemporary art in North America, impacting on the collection decisions of Carnegie Museum of Art and other museums, as well as countless private collections." It happens every other year, the next in 2007/8 (November-March).
• A Fair in the Park
  Started in 1969, A Fair in the Park is an annual contemporary craft festival, presented each September by The Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh in Mellon Park, adjacent to The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.
• Fiberart International
  http://www.fiberartinternational.com/
  Fiberart International is a triennial, juried exhibition of contemporary fiber art from around the world.
• Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District
  Presented by The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust periodically throughout the year.
• Jill Watson Festival Across the Arts
  An annual transdisciplinary celebration at Carnegie Mellon University. September.
• The Three Rivers Arts Festival
  http://www.artsfestival.net/
  An annual 17-day festival of the visual and performing arts in downtown Pittsburgh each June. Also presents special performing arts projects and exhibitions throughout the year.

• Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts
  A Mid-July artistic happening in State College, PA. home of Pennsylvania State University.
