Small Business Contact Directory

About this Directory

The Business Department of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh provides entrepreneurs with a comprehensive collection of resources on starting and growing a small business, including business plan preparation, advertising, marketing, tax issues, franchising, financing, business valuation and home-based and family-owned businesses.

SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, is a nonprofit association of retired business owners and executives who volunteer their time, knowledge, and experience to provide free and confidential counseling services to small and start-up businesses.

The Business Department and SCORE share a goal: to make information about business freely available to anyone who wants it. With this goal in mind, we have produced this directory. It contains the telephone numbers and web sites of those government units that have an impact upon small business and also those organizations that provide free information to entrepreneurs.

The information is accurate as of August 2007. We hope that it will ease the search for the forms, regulations, and unbiased advice that both startup and existing business owners need.
