Downloadable Video

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is pleased to offer downloadable video. Now you can download digital video to your PC, laptop, and, in some cases, a compatible portable device (please see Overdrive's Device Resource Center for help with choosing a compatible device.)

Requirements

To download videos in the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh eVideo Catalog, you will need:

For OverDrive

• a valid library card from an Allegheny County public library
• high-speed access to the Internet
• free software (OverDrive Media Console)

For MyLibraryDV:

• a valid CLP library card
• high-speed access to the Internet
• free software (MyLibraryDV Download Manager)

Procedures

	To access the free software, set up an account, and browse the collection of available OverDrive titles visit http://carnegie.lib.overdrive.com/. For a quick tutorial on the OverDrive service check out the Digital Media Guided Tour.
	To access the free software, set up an account and browse the collection of available MyLibraryDV titles, visit the MyLibraryDV website. Once you have downloaded the software, check out the Help section which offers a variety of video tutorials and the MyLibraryDV FAQ.

Please note that eVideos can be enjoyed at home, at work, or when you travel, but are currently not for use on the computers in the library.
